Great Affordable Skincare

Great Affordable Skincare

The Serum

Simply Pure Hydrating Serum.

Another great Sali Hughes recc. You really can’t go wrong with this product, it’s super simple, but effective, It's also not greasy and sinks in fast. Plus, you can't go wrong with the price!

The SPF

Avene Very High Protection Spray

I have used this for YEARS. The skin on my face really disagrees with SPF at times, but this feels moisturising on the skin and doesn’t aggravate redness or sting.

The Multi-tasker

Garnier SkinActive Botanical Balm

Out of the others mentioned this is definitely a newer discovery. Its super nourishing and my skin feels really plump and soothed after using it. It does state that you can use it as a day cream, night cream or mask – I would advise either as a night cream or a mask as it can pill under makeup.  Oilier skins should probably give a wide birth as it may be a bit heavy.

The Brand - The Ordinary

A really great budget alternative to a lot of products, just do your research first. Figure out what you want to target (blemishes, dryness, ageing ect) then pick your ingredients and products based on that.

A lot of the website I found really confusing, but they have a section which breaks down what ingredients you should use for each skin type/skin issue, which makes it much easier to decide what to buy.

The Hero Product

La Roshe Posay Cicaplast

I would honestly be lost without this- I had been using steroid cream on my facial eczema (which I know is awful) but when nothing else with budge it – you gotta do what you gotta do, until I found this. It repairs the skin barrier and is super calming on redness.

Have you got any great affordable skincare heroes? Or tried any of these?
