Beach Essentials...

Summer holidays are in full swing and I thought I would help you all out with a beach-y essentials checklist... These are the beauty bits I will always pop in my luggage for a sun soaked holiday.

Avene Suncream & P20  - The Avene suncreams are great for those with problematic skin, the creams don't sting or aggravate whilst giving good protection. You should be good with these from eczema to acne and imbetween. As much as these are perfectly fine for the body too,  I like something a bit more heavy duty. My Mum introduced me to P50 years ago and I honestly don't use anything else - it lasts all god-damn day. Just put it on and let it dry before your clothes, otherwise you will be left with a yellow tinge.

Glossier Balm Dot Com for dry lips.

Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish for a soothing cleanse that gets all the dirt and suncream out of pores.

Kiehl's Ultra Facial Cream for a good hit of moisture.

Clarins Double Serum I find this really soothing after a day at the beach, it gets your skin back in great condition. Pricey, but lasts a good while.

A moisturising mask -  Even though the sun can make your skin look beautifully glow-y and tanned, theres so denying its really damaging your skin at the same time. So I like to keep pumping the moisture in as much as possible in conjunction with a good SPF. I like Lush and Clarins offerings.

Its fair to say I am pretty boring on holiday when it comes to makeup, I really like vacations to give the opportunity for my skin to breathe. When I do pop something on however it's generally a BB cream, light foundation and concealer: No7 BB cream, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, Clarins flash beauty balm, Glossier Stretch concealer, Lasting perfection concealer. A little bit of bronzer and colour on the cheeks: Glossier Cloud paint, Benefit Hoola bronzer. Plus a little Mascara.

A great book - I took Sarah Knight's "Get your sh*t together & The life changing magic of not giving a f*ck" when I was away last year and didn't regret it. Some amazing no BS life advice, I imagine you've heard of them by now!

I always take the Harry Potter audio books with me too- Stephen Fry reads them incredibly well and they never get old! For more, check out my reading list post!

Are you going anywhere nice? Let me know along with your holiday essentials!
