Changing of the seasons…

I really enjoy how beauty changes with the seasons…Summer is all about bronzed, glowing skin and then come winter, we start reaching for darker tones and a little glitter (who can resist at christmas!). I look forward to this time of the year where you can switch up your products and go for a slightly different look.

These are the products I will be reaching for in the months to come..

In the winter months I still like to go quite fresh and glowing on my skin as I’m not really a fan of a heavy, matte base. I will switch out my usual BB cream for the YSL Touche Eclat Le Tient foundation, Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua or Nars Sheer Glow Foundation, coupled with my Glossier Stretch Concealer to avoid clingy dry patches. Instead of going bronzed on the cheeks, I’ll reach for cream blush formulations in a berry or poppy pink, I love Glossier Cloud Paint (Puff), Max Factor Miracle Touch Blush & Bobbi Brown Pot Rouge.

I’ve voided eye makeup a lot of the summer but come A/W, I will generally put a little dark brown or black kohl along my lash line smudged out with mascara. Currently reaching for Too Faced Eyeliner, Mac Eyeliner (Teddy) & Maybelline Lash Sensational.

Having discovered that my lips really don’t agree with highly pigmented lip colours, I reserve them for ‘special occasions’ only or stick to a gloss formula as they aggravate my skin less. I really love the NYX Butter Glosses, Charlotte Tilbury (occasion only!) and the new Chanel A/W looks pretty dreamy. The Clarins Instant Light Lip Perfecters are also great for anyone who suffers with sore/dry lips as they have a really moisturising formula. I found the Max Factor Colour Elixir Lip Cushion Gloss to be a really great budget alternative for the Clarins ILLP!

Any A/W favourites I need to know about?!
